{"id":170,"date":"2003-10-04T04:21:02","date_gmt":"2003-10-04T09:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/10\/the-lamp-of-diogenes\/"},"modified":"2003-10-04T04:21:02","modified_gmt":"2003-10-04T09:21:02","slug":"the-lamp-of-diogenes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/10\/the-lamp-of-diogenes\/","title":{"rendered":"the lamp of diogenes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>several [fairly] recent events have inspired me to revisit an old thought found <a href=\"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/08\/casting_about_in_the_light_of_the_net.html\">here<\/a> on this blog.<\/p>\n<p>back in august,  i asked &#8220;<em>is there, today, enough &#8220;light&#8221; to find an honest man?<\/em>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>the light of the net has been cast on verisign (and, for the moment, verisign has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/content\/6\/33212.html\">brought into the light<\/a>), and google has had some serious light <a href=\"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/10\/google_flirts_with_the_dark_side.html\"> focused<\/a> on it.
