which opens a flood of new content,  with the associated &#8220;goods&#8221; (like more choice) and &#8220;bads&#8221; (like the discrimination problem).<\/p>\n<p>so apple lets you become a recording artist, now you need to get that record deal.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icubator.com\/artistopia\/Index.asp\" class=\"broken_link\">artistopia<\/a> promises to streamline your introduction to the music industry.  i&#8217;d love to hear some feedback from people who&#8217;ve been through this adventure.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"sourcequote\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.icubator.com\/Artistopia\/About-Us\/Index.asp\" class=\"broken_link\">artistopia &#8211; about us<\/a><\/div>\n<p>Although talent cannot be uniformed, however, what can be standardized is the approach process artists take to professionalizing and formalizing their respective music careers.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>yikes.  the people at artistopia need to get some english help.  it&#8217;ll be very interesting to learn if the real experience for the &#8220;talent&#8221; is positive with them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>for the audience<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>worth noting again, professor lessig applies some thought to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lessig.org\/blog\/archives\/001647.shtml\" class=\"broken_link\">walmart terms<\/a>. now you can decide if saving those 11 cents is worth it.<\/p>\n<p>bbspot <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbspot.com\/News\/2003\/12\/digital_music_store_reviews_1.html\">reviews the online music stores<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/destramusic.com\/\">destra music<\/a> brings the online track sales to australia.  slashdot <a href=\"http:\/\/slashdot.org\/articles\/03\/12\/16\/0327238.shtml?tid=141&#038;tid=187&#038;tid=188\">covered it<\/a>.  pretty much the same <a href=\"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/11\/comparing_music_sites.html\">deal<\/a> (except, of course, for the exchange rate).<\/p>\n<p>sitting in the to-post queue entirely too long (and with a nod to crys), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.transpose.com\/\">transpose<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.garyrobinson.net\/2003\/12\/goombah_launche.html\" class=\"broken_link\">launched goombah<\/a>.  i&#8217;m not going to get to play with this one much, so i&#8217;ll be watching for the comments from real people.<\/p>\n<p>in a similar vein, i should drop a link to <a href=\"http:\/\/echocloud.net\/\">echocloud<\/a>.  echocloud also wants to help you find new music, and they got started way back in spring 2003.  then it seems to have fizzled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>for the toolmakers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscientist.com\/news\/news.jsp?id=ns99994476\">&#8216;meta-files&#8217;
