{"id":97,"date":"2003-08-28T07:02:06","date_gmt":"2003-08-28T12:02:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/08\/the-patriot-act-has-a-website\/"},"modified":"2003-08-28T07:02:06","modified_gmt":"2003-08-28T12:02:06","slug":"the-patriot-act-has-a-website","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/08\/the-patriot-act-has-a-website\/","title":{"rendered":"the patriot act has a website?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>a law with an OFFICIAL,  SANCTIONED website?<\/p>\n<p>[i really should do more homework on these things,  but i find a hook and hang myself on it &#8211; and i do it for you!]<\/p>\n<p>not only is the department of justice [probably] spending tax dollars promoting the victory act (<a href=\"https:\/\/rojisan.com\/blog\/2003\/08\/jail_time_for_ashcroft.html\">jail time for ashcroft?<\/a>), they&#8217;ve built a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeandliberty.gov\/\" class=\"broken_link\">whole web site<\/a> to promote\/support the usa patriot act.  can anyone, anywhere, point me to a prior situation where a united states government executive department has created a website to support and defend an existing law or appopriation?  is this unprecedented?<\/p>\n<p>i don&#8217;t know if this falls into the realm of <a href=\"http:\/\/www4.law.cornell.edu\/uscode\/18\/1913.html\">18 U.S.C. \u00a71913<\/a>, since the patriot act is already passed, but it certainly doesn&#8217;t sit well with me.  (and i haven&#8217;t done my homework to find out if there&#8217;s another law out there that might apply).<\/p>\n<p>doesn&#8217;t ashcroft have a war on terror to win?  and a war on drugs?  and a war on naked statuary?  and a war on crime?  and a war on poverty?
