so i was cruising around the web and stumbled into this, wherein a geek [hi anil!] goatses the new york times.

some people are very impressed that this snuck in past such a large organization, but i offer this advertisemen as a possible explanation…

i ran into that a few weeks ago, but i can’t seem to find the source of the image. in any case this seems to be the campaign, and it was launched january 2004.

the big news of the day, Orange Becomes Florida’s Official Fruit [ap via yahoo news, 2005.05.20].

the under-reported story, of course, is that the united states congress will hold hearings after midnight tonight to pass a resolution making the grapefruit florida’s official fruit. president bush is expected to sign the document around 3am.

i couldn’t help but put these two things together when they crossed my attention within 24 hours of each other….

from the right, we have the creation museum in kentucky, near cincinnati…

… and from the left, we have the history of contraception museum at case western reserve in cleveland.

i propose a merger. the contra-creation museum. and of course, it should be in columbus.

surely, i’m not the only one to go here…

no matter… it was good for me to spend a little time getting to know the cabinet. i’ll feel very civic for a few more minutes.
