ot really this blog, but another blog in a much brighter place – joi’s decided to re-engage the debate.

disagreements and debates are important – i knew there was a reason i liked that guy, even if he was a little bland for a while (joi wasn’t using his civil rights, either, for a while…) 🙂

it’s so nice to see someone that is a bit articulate inspired to take up the pen (as it were) again and get back into the discussion about america.

i’ve been slow to dig up the material (being on the wrong end of the economic recovery is limiting my i-have-days-to-research-politics-for-my-blog-time), but i created a not my america category specifically to disavow actions of my government. there’s so much more to get in there…

one item missing from the k5 story that inspired wil is the saga of benemar benatta – someone who has much to teach us [americans] about american values.

don’t back down, wil. don’t resign yourself to this future. you’re american enough in my book (well, blog), and that’s all that really counts. and you’re welcome to come stay with me in rojistan (a pair of secure, undisclosed tropical locations) if we don’t get this pendulum headed in the other direction soon.
